After mentoring in the Formando DevOps para vida real program and before heading out to the KubeCon party, João Brito and Adonai Costa review the fourth day of the event in Detroit.
From the keynotes, the highlights were the live coding sessions of Function, Knative, and ArgoCD. Ricardo Rocha from CERN spoke about tool simplicity for Kubernetes and lightweight images for containers.
There was also a talk that raised the importance of contributing to Kubernetes and other CNCF projects. Currently, only 1% of the community contributes to Kubernetes! Additionally, there were presentations on the pillars of cloud native, new CNCF projects, OpenTelemetry, and Linkerd.
To wrap things up, our Brazilian colleagues, Ricardo Katz and Carlos Panato, showed in a humorous talk why it takes so long for a feature to make it into Kubernetes.
