#12 - DevOps Fail - Why do DevOps initiatives fail?

In this episode, we talk about some DevOps initiatives that fail and how we see the same mistakes being made time and time again in various companies, resulting in the same failure.

Why does one of the most popular cultural change initiatives today fail? Why do so many companies believe it to be the "savior of the nation" and that it can magically solve everything wrong, or everything that isn't the way you wanted in the company?
Why do so many managers think DevOps is a recipe that simply needs to be followed and quickly everything will change, their employees will be happier, work harder, and things of that nature?
This is still an enigma, but we are sure of one thing: if nothing is done, the same results will be obtained in the end :D
We quote the article byGartner which states: By 2023, 90% of DEVOPS initiatives will fail 

This will happen for several reasons, but the biggest ones are because of people—both leaders who expect more than what can be done, thereby frustrating people and being frustrated themselves, as well as the very people who should "wear the shirt" and change their attitude.

 We also cite a Google article - State of DevOps, which mentions several "failures" that can occur in initiatives.
We also talk about how it is possible to just bypass processes when people do not share the same goal, and as an example, we cite the framework that makes you "pass" all CI tests here.
