In this episode, we had the guest appearance of the great Carlos Panato, who shared plenty of his experience from his time working at CoreOS and on open-source projects like MatterMost, where he currently works.
In addition to sharing his journey and experience, we also talked about Operators, which have brought efficiency and reliability to managing Stateful Apps. Villains in the Cloud Native world until recently.
The great benefit of using Operators lies in being able to automate and standardize day-to-day tasks, such as adding and removing a replica in a MySQL cluster. Until recently, almost entirely, existing Operators were focused on managing database-type applications, but this is changing, as can be seen by the different types available today on OperatorsHub.
