We are back recording to share an overview of how Kubernetes has grown over this past year, how it expanded its reach, becoming not only a great alternative, but increasingly a standard for infrastructure administration, deployment, and workload management of your applications.
Some data presented during the episode:
40% of large companies (>5000 employees) already have k8s running in production
20% of these companies already have a weekly release time
42% already have automatic deployment and another 25% are automated in some way
67% run tests in their pipelines
In the second half of 2018 alone, we saw a 50% increase in the use of containers in production
