Kubicast #42
Kubernetes 1.18 - What's new?
Another quarter has passed and the community doesn't stop, a new version of Kubernetes is available!
We have reached version 1.18 and with it more new features, more stability for components, and many graduations to stable. An incredible milestone was set this time with 3412 commits; the community has truly put in a lot of effort, and we have all been seeing the fruits of this.
Let's look at the list of new features we have selected for you:
Kubectl alpha debug — https://github.com/kubernetes/kubernetes/pull/88004
Kubectl run - removed the previously deprecated generators, along with flags unrelated to creating pods. kubectl run now only creates pods. See specific kubectl create subcommands to create objects other than pods. (#87077, @soltysh) [SIG Architecture, CLI and Testing]
