#70 - Kubernetes 1.22 - What's new?

CTO

João Brito

In this episode, Kubicast brought together the Operations folks from Getup and UnDistro to deliver, to those listening to us, everything ready and chewed on regarding the most important features of the new version, 1.22, of Kubernetes. One of them is Security, the Rootless Containers, which is now designed so that Kubernetes itself runs in user namespaces without being Root. The other is the possibility of enabling Swap. Released in a controlled manner, this feature meets a demand from the community that had been ongoing since 2017, and benefits the work of those who have been struggling with resource consumption and losing nodes along the way. To find out what the other highlights of the update are, in the voices of our distinguished guests, I invite you to listen to the show.
