Getup and LINUXtips create a free program to train beginners in a DevOps career

After qualifying stages, selected participants dive into the DevOps world through extensive technical knowledge, practical exercises with mentoring, and soft skills enhancementAware of the lack of qualified professionals to work in the DevOps field, Getup and LINUXtips joined forces to create Formando DevOps para a vida real (Training DevOps for the Real World), a 100% free and online initiative to train and develop people who are at the beginning of their DevOps career or really want to start in the field.The program, which began in July of this year with two qualifying stages, now continues with the 20 approved candidates who experience immersive modules in technical knowledge, practical learning, with proposed challenges and mentoring from senior Getup professionals; and human development to map professional profiles and improve soft skills.“Due to business growth in the digital medium and the scarcity of skilled DevOps professionals, we created a program that, in addition to training people on the technical side with courses and mentoring, will also develop them with daily challenges and soft skills, which we identified as lacking in high-level professionals in the market,” comments João Brito, CTO of Getup and host of Kubicast.“LINUXtips is aware of the importance of training new DevOps professionals for the market and knows that social conditions are not equal for everyone. Therefore, we are very happy to create another opportunity for people to have access to training for free. The LINUXtips platform has already taught more than 12,000 people belonging to minority groups,” explains Jeferson Fernando, production engineer with more than 20 years of professional experience, founder and instructor of LINUXtips.

With completion expected by mid-November, candidates who show the best performance in the program may receive offers to work at Getup or partner companies.
