Getup is recognized as a Cool Vendor 2017 by Gartner

Every year, Gartner identifies "Cool Vendors" in key technology segments and publishes a series of reports highlighting new, interesting, and innovative companies. This year Getup was recognized as a Cool Vendor — definitely great news.

Another company to receive recognition in the report was one of our friends also based in Cubo, Take.net, a company that develops customer service ChatBots.

For those who may not know, Gartner is a leading research and advisory company, working with business leaders in all industry segments with strategic advice for decision-making.

The recognition comes a year after we decided to use Kubernetes as our base, an open-source technology developed by Google that brings over 10 years of experience in managing applications running in containers.

Our outlook at the time was that new technologies like kubernetes, containers, and the cloud-native movement had great potential to transform the way we run software and operate infrastructure. Today, Kubernetes is the #1 project in number of contributions on GitHub and the number of CASES with companies of all sizes and industry segments leaves no doubt.

For us, the recognition reinforces that we are on the right track in our goal of bridging the gap between open-source technologies and large enterprises, showing how technology can be a differentiating factor in business strategy.
