The Getup Operations team unmuted their mics to hand over the most important points of Kubernetes version 1.24 on a silver platter. Come check it out.

Getup's Operations team opened the microphone to hand over on a silver platter the most important points of Kubernetes version 1.24 .
The first major change was the removal of Dockershim. Now, the ones in charge are CRI-O or Containerd and we discuss how this impacts the lives of Kubernetes administrators. We also talked about the arrival of namespaceSelector to do pod affinity and anti-pod affinity and the GatewayClass which establishes a standard for using Gateways and ingress controllers within Kubernetes.
Furthermore, we went over the Storage Capacity and Volume Expansion features, which are now stable; the creation of short-lived tokens to increase the security of Service Accounts; the OOM metrics that Kubelet is bringing and the opt-in feature to reserve a range of static IP address assignments to services.
Listen to us, but also read the release notes of the new version to check if we aren't just talking nonsense!

In this episode, instead of RECOMMENDATIONS, the Getupers commented on what should be Uncle Elon Musk's next purchase. Buying the South of Brazil appeared on the list. Buying and unifying all clouds too!
The GETUPERS who participated in this show:
Adonai Costa, not very active on social media, but known to everyone;

Gustavo Alexander, who was a bit under the weather with a cold;
Jandson Oliveira, fan of Adonai;
Marcelo Melo, DevOps engineer with CREA and CKA;
Mateus Caruccio, god of Kubernetes for Latin America;
João Brito, your favorite Kubicast host!
