Kubicast #99 — Kubernetes 1.25 — What's new?

With some of my Getup colleagues, in this episode I comment on the most relevant changes in Kubernetes version 1.25.

Some of them include the definitive removal of PSP (PodSecurityPolicy), the deprecation of support for GlusterFS, and the death of Autoscaling v.2 beta 1. There is also the entry, still in alpha stage, of the Linux namespace feature (not Kubernetes' namespace, okay!?) and the promotion to stable of the features Pod Security Admission and Local Ephemeral Storage Capacity Isolation.

Another update is that PDB (Pod Disruption Budget) goes to the default version, which is why we recommend maintaining production deployments with at least two replicas to avoid headaches during an update, for example.

Among the observations of the new version, we talk about the pros and cons of working with a managed cluster vs an On-Premise cluster; and if there is any feature gate that you miss in a production cluster.
