In 2020, before the novel coronavirus pandemic, part of Gol's Technology team, together with the company's business areas, conducted a roadmap to identify which systems could migrate to the cloud.

In the middle of this process, the project to modernize the company's digital channels took precedence over everything and became the priority for the Technology team. These channels represent the core system through which searches, purchases, check-ins, and post-sales of airline tickets are made, both physical and through partner companies.

To meet the challenge, Gol agreed to hire specialists to support them in moving to the cloud, and one of them was Getup.

Moving forward with the restructuring of digital channels, the IT team reviewed the list of inventoried systems and assessed that 80 of them could also be adapted to run in the cloud. With Getup's support for Kubernetes environments, this entire migration effort was completed in one year!
